چکیده
In the present research, nanoindentation, atomic-force microscopy and optical were used to study mechanical microgeometrical parameters of tooth tissues. A nanoindentation test unit equipped with Berkovich indenter was determine values reduced Young’s modulus indentation hardness both atomic force using a diamond probe on silicon cantilever human root cementum. Three areas cementum studied: cervical region near dentine–enamel junction, second third root, apex root. The interpretation results carried out Oliver–Pharr method. It established, that properties increase from central part then decrease again towards On contrary, characteristics practically do not demonstrate any change in same direction. roughness direction cellular dentine observed. Additionally, area compared crown found nanoindentation. investigation dentine–cementum junction high resolution revealed interspaced collagen fiber bridges epithelial rests Malassez, whose sizes studied. topographic features vicinity lacunae cementocytes also established.

Nanomechanical characterization of polymer using atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation
The nanomechanical characteristics of polycarbonate (PC) polymer were investigated by atomic force microscope (AFM) and nanoindentation. Scratching, wear properties, hardness and Young’s modulus were obtained. The relationships between scribing feed and speed, surface depth and roughness and applied load were also investigated. The results indicated that as the applied load was increased, the f...
متن کاملEffect of thermo-mechanical refining pressure on the properties of wood fibers as measured by nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy
Refined wood fibers of a 54-year-old loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.) mature wood were investigated by nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The effect of steam pressure, in the range of 2–18 bar, during thermomechanical refining was investigated and the nanomechanical properties and nanoor micro-level damages of the cell wall were evaluated. The results indicate that refining pressu...
متن کاملAtomic force microscopy: Studying mechanical properties of a cell
Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is a modern imaging technique that generates height representations of a sample surface with subnanometer resolution. Since 1986 it has evolved into a versatile tool which also provides maps of elastic and viscoelastic properties. AFM offers the opportunity to image samples with or without treatment in various environments. Aim of this work is a short description o...
متن کاملNanotribological and nanomechanical properties of skin with and without cream treatment using atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation.
Various beauty care products involve surface interaction between the product and the skin surface they are applied to. Friction, adhesion and wear during sliding between the treated surface and the rubbing surfaces need to be optimized. Skin cream is used to improve skin health and create a smooth, soft, and flexible surface with moist perception by altering the surface roughness, friction, adh...
